18th Century Kuba Carpet, The Caucasus 170 x 274cm / 5'7" x 9'0"

Robert Kime would have understood and loved this carpet very much. The pastel blue, soft red flowers and pale yellow borders would have fitted right in with his aesthetic, as well as the obvious signs of repair, wear and great age. Cut down from a larger carpet and with much 19th century repair it is nonetheless a rare and desirable beauty.
