The inscription panel confirms what the eye tells you; this is an exceptional and beautiful antique rug. Made around the end of the third quarter of the nineteenth century, the stunning green field has many shades of colour and serves to create an undulating movement behind the rows of yellow and red flowers. The garden effect is complete with the blue and white river running around the edge. What a place to relax and enjoy!
Made in the North East Caucasus this rare rug is in excellent, original condition and was recently purchased out of a US collection where it had been treasured for many years.
