A colourful Karadja Heriz carpet from North West Persia, circa 1900, with the cheerful colour range one can expect from the above average examples. Here we see a lovely combination of tomato red field with wonderful light blue corners and a liberal sprinkling of green and yellow. The classic medallion and broad border in an inky, subtly variated navy blue. A hard wearing carpet that is good for another 100 years.
