Lovely orangey red ground colour on this circa 1900 Oushak carpet from Western Anatolia, with harmonious apple green corners and teal border and medallion. Accents of gold, cream, light and dark green throughout means choosing colours to work with your soft furnishings should be quite straight forward. In lovely, thick pile, it feels great underfoot and should easily last another 120 years.
