19th century Nurata 'Nim" Suzani 93 x 130cm / 3'1" x 4'3"
£3,800
A beautifully worked silk embroidery from Uzbekistan, a dowry piece. A 'Nim' is the word for these smaller than usual embroideries, from the Persian for 'Half". With floral sprays in the field and entering from the corners one can identify it as a Nurata. In excellent condition, cleaned and mounted on a frame, ready for display.
Occasionally I also do a home trial, numerous factors can vastly change how a piece looks and feels in a room. Get in touch for more information
