An 18th century gallery sized carpet from the Caucasus region in relatively good condition for the age. The dramatic design of large flowerheads and serrated leaves hark from a period clearly predating most of what we see today. The richness and variety of the dyes is quite something to behold and a rare opportunity to purchase a piece of history.
