Antique Angora Kula Oushak 335 x 449cm / 11'0" x 14'10"

Very few Kula Oushaks were made with the Angora wool pile and even fewer look this good. Im going to run out of superlatives but quite simply, Oushaks do not get any better than this. Over 150 years old, the colour is fantastic, a sea green field that has many, many small, changing shades is absolutely mesmerising. The orangey red border compliments it perfectly. The huge, asymmetric design of large and small flowers creates a calming, garden of delights and the condition is ideal. It is hard to grasp just how beautiful this carpet is from mere photos but I hope you get an idea because it is devastating in the flesh. One of my all time greatest finds.
