Green and red go together so well, especially when all natural dyes mellowed over 150 years in this rare Baksheesh rug from North West Persia. The repeat design of blue, white and green 'boteh' sit on a beautifully 'abrashed' red ground. Abrash refers to the use of many different shades, which gives the colours softness and depth. Beautiful wool and in excellent condition.
