Richly coloured antique tribal rug from those wonderful Kurds of Western Persia. They knew a thing or two about colour, by the way! Look closely and you will see an extraordinary array of rich, natural dyes. Multiple greens, blues and reds, including a wonderful apricot and a superb purple. All loaded onto the typically shiny, well patinated Kurdish wool. A border full of stylised dragons, and are those turtle moving across the field...? Definitely zoomorphic! A real collectors item and also a wonderful furnishing rug, in excellent, original condition.
