Early 19th Century Kurdish Gallery Carpet 170 x 351cm / 5'5" x 11'6"

£5,950

This rare survivor was woven around 200 years ago by Kurdish weavers in the West of Persia. The large, bold design of richly coloured flowerheads contrasts gorgeously with the abrashed midnight blue field. How the greens and yellows sing! Considered by collectors and connoisseurs to be a great work of art, there are not many opportunities to purchase such an artistic rug these days. In good condition with some old repairs.

5'5" x 11'6"
