Superb, leathery weave on this extremely early and rare collectable trapping. I would date it to 1825-50 and the quality is peerless, due in part to the silk wefts which allow for an extra fine weave. Beautiful, rich natural dyes, well patinated from the passing of time and filled with charming bushy-tailed three legged animals. In excellent condition for the age.
