A classic 'Country house carpet' woven at the end of the 19th century for a large house in the UK countryside. I adore this colour combination and it is the making of any living, drawing or dining room.
The rich red ground colour sets off the large, light blue and green blossoms that are all over the field and echo the light blue border. An amazing rare carpet.
In very good original condition, there are some signs of wear and minor restoration.
